"On This Day" added to our Calendar

The Sag Harbor Historical Society added several important events in Sag Harbor's history, including birthdays of important characters like John Steinbeck and Mrs. Russell Sage to our calendar.

Some of these anniversaries will help you better anticipate local events designed to commemorate these people or events. For example, many years a group of reenactors based in Connecticut, like the 6th Connecticut regiment, will travel to Sag Harbor for the anniversary of Colonel Meigs' raid.

We hope having these dates readily available will help groups planning events in Sag Harbor. Some of these dates will be tailored each year to reflect current exhibits at the Sag Harbor Historical Society's Annie Cooper Boyd House. Others will recur each year.

Please be sure to read our calendar carefully to distinguish "Historical Anniversaries" and "On This Day" events from things that are happening this year!
