On February 8th there will be a ceremony formally transferring the deed for the Long Wharf from Suffolk County to the Village of Sag Harbor. This transfer was arranged by Legislator Jay Schneiderman. Legislator Schneiderman invited the public to meet in front of B. Smith's at 12 noon for the ceremony. Legislator Schneiderman partnered with the Sag Harbor Historical Society recently to fund our revised pamphlet "A Self-Guided Walking Tour of Sag Harbor," along with another project on historical markers we're looking forward to sharing in more detail.The Sag Harbor Express covered the transfer in detail.
