Holidays with SHHS at the ACB House

Did you get to see the holiday decorations at SHHS?

The SHHS Annual Holiday Tea Party had a wonderful turnout, and the cider and sweets drew on the traditions of Annie Cooper Boyd's hospitality. Annie operated a tea room for many years out of her home (which is now the SHHS Headquarters), where she would serve tea and tell stories about the village and some of the curiosities she collected. The SHHS tea party serves as a nod to that history.

Inspired by Annie's collections, SHHS member Wendy Sherman started a photo project, highlighting some of the treasures in Annie's home, which we will feature soon. We hope this will help visitors focus on some of the curiosities Annie treasured. These photos from the Holiday Tea were provided by Wendy, and SHHS is very grateful for her efforts!

For those of you who missed our gathering, we're including some holiday party pictures. We were thrilled Jackie Marks, our archival consultant, and her family were able to join us. We were also grateful to see many other familiar faces! Do you know anyone in these pictures? Scroll through and take a look!
